And the love continues as we take our 3rd multi-generational family mission trip to Rogersville, TN! 55 Final Words

At our share time last night I asked each person for one word to describe our week together - here is what they said:  tough, fun (2), meaningful, love, sweaty, hope, humbling (4), priceless, interesting, productive, rewarding, anew, inspirational, joyful, committed, awesome (2), appreciation, unexpected, heartbreaking, blessed, wonderful, excellent, amazing (3), gratitude, encouraging, cohesive, eye-opening, inspiring, honored, grateful, worthwhile, opportunistic, astonishing, hopeful, unified, powerful, beginning, exhilarating, igniting, inspiring, wow, heartwarming, extraordinary, fulfilling, everlasting, blessed, hot, action... a lot can be said in just one word.

Our week may be over, but our mission is not. We are coming home committed to continue to live our verse for this trip "let us stop just saying we love each other, let us show it by our actions" 1 John 3:18.

We have truly had an incredible week...thank you for all your prayers and support in helping us as we were "Loving Tennessee!"

  2. Computer just died right in the middle of this sentence. As i was saying Without a doubt each of you have experienced things this week that you absolutley cannot put into words. When god gets a hold of your heart and works within you; it is sometimes impossible to describe to others. However as Henry blackaby says in Experiencing God; He is at work all around us and its our job to get on board and join Him. You folks have done exactly that. You have shown His love to so many people and made such a difference in their lives. As a result your lives will also never be the same again. Satan did all he could to hinder your travel there; to discourage you and to stop what you were called to do. Let me warn you. He will try even more so as you return home.I have learned this lesson myself over the past few weeks. I guess your trip has impacted me in greater ways than I can begin to tell you on this blog.Each of you must stay strong in your faith and in HIS word. Nothing will make satan happier than to make you think you didnt do anything in Tennessee.Everything you did; no matter how great or small the tasks seemed was done to bring glory to God. There will be days ahead of you and probably even months down the road when you will recall something that happened while you were there that will cause you to think of Loving Tennessee.You saw God at work all around you and I believe this is not the end as you head home today; this is only the BEGINNING. We are called to serve in our city, state,throughout our nation and across the ocean. My prayer is that others in our church will be inspired to follow in your footsteps . This verse came to mind as i thought about the various age groups on your team. I will leave you with this; travel safely today.Looking forward to seeing you soon................. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine;according to his power that is at work within us,to him be glory in the church and in Jesus Christ throughout ALL GENERATIONS,forever and ever.
